Q:
How are COBRA MARINE stablizers different from others on the market?
A:
1.) CoBra Marine utilizes the finest materials available in the Marine Industry; these include Hardened 304 Stainless Steel, Galvaneal Cad Plate Alloy, and our Aluminum Alloy Series. Our many options should be considered for your particular boating needs (See our Specifications and Dimensions Page for more technical information). Sadly, Many of Cobra Marine competitors use only plastic materials.
2.) CoBra Marine Stabilizers mount uniquely underneath the cavitation plate as opposed to top and side mounts that create undue stress on the cavitation plate.
3.) CoBra's patented non-areodynamic design creates planing as soon as the prop is in motion, allowing top performance. This patented design puts your boat on plane at speeds as low as 8-10 m.p.h.
5.)
CoBra Marine stabilizers dramatically increase surface area over the cavitation plate; thereby increasing "prop bite", eliminating cavitation and blow out.
**Especially important in shallow water conditions when planing necessary in 8" to 12" water.
6.) CoBra Stabilizers greatly increase the lateral stability of your boat. This is a natural advantage of CoBra's Stabilizers and is due to the increased surface area created by the plate itself. This added stablility improves both maneuverability, steering control and overall comfort.

Q:
How do I determine which CoBra Marine Stabilizer(s) will best suit MY boating needs?
What is the purpose of the "Bend" on all of your stabilizers?
A:
The "bend" of 6 degrees has proven to be the optimal counter balance to minimizing "porpoising" of all watercraft. It serves as a sort of "counter balance" when the bow tends to dip up and down. It serves as yet another balancing component of the CoBra Marine Stabilizer, ensuring a more comfortable and smooth ride.
